Rockstar Games is still working in collaboration with Remedy Entertainment on Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake

Many video games are currently under development by several publishers and developers. And about the remake of Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, it is progressing rather well according to Remedy Entertainment’s latest half-year financial report, which is good news. 

Therefore, it should be noted that the Max Payne games were a huge success during their releases thanks to unique features and a universe that captivated players. This is notably the case for the first title which has a score of 80 on Metacritic on PlayStation 2.

Subsequently, Remedy Entertainment sold its valuable franchise to Take-Two, which allowed Rockstar Games to work on Max Payne 3 which was released in 2012. And needless to say that this game has also been a huge success with players. 

And faced with such popularity, Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake went into production from 2024. However, since then, no news has been announced, until recently. Indeed, the last half-year financial report of Remedy Entertainment highlighted this project, allowing to send a message to all fans of the license. 

It must be said that the following thing is specified: "The Max Payne 1 & 2 remake project continues its progress and remains in full production. In the second quarter, the team built on steady momentum from earlier in the year. Collaboration with Rockstar Games remains close and productive, ensuring alignment as the project advances toward its next major phase". Which shows how far the project is moving in the right direction. 

However, it is not possible to say if this collaboration is equal or if inequalities are present, because no details have been revealed on this subject. But there's no doubt that Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake will see the light of day in the near or distant future, and that fans will be able to relive their childhood memories.
