Sony has geared up for a limited run of its PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, allowing PlayStation Plus subscribers in the UK a chance to snag a 30th Anniversary PS5 Slim Digital Edition Bundle, PlayStation Portal, and DualSense controller, each decked out in the iconic grey colorway of the original PlayStation from 1994.
The restock went live on July 21, 2025, at 10 AM BST and is exclusive to PS Plus subscribers for the first two days, coinciding with pre-orders opening to the general public on July 23. But missing from the 30th Anniversary roster are the PS5 Pro and DualSense Edge. According to a post shared on X by PlayStation UK, the items and bundles are available in “highly limited quantities” on the PlayStation Direct website and will be shipped at a later date on September 29, 2025.
PlayStation members in the UK can hop on the pre-order queue right now, but stock is expected to be scooped up fairly fast for the limited-edition bundle. For those seeking a 30th anniversary bundle without a PS Plus subscription, the floodgates are going to open soon, but quantities are tight, and scalping remains a concern as previous eBay listings for the 30th Anniversary Pro Bundle ended up pushing past $3000 easily. If you are a contender for the console, it might be prudent to get your credit card ready and act fast for what could be the last run of the 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 console.
The 30th Anniversary Collection initially launched in September 2024, which paid homage to three decades of PlayStation history and its game-changing debut. Hideaki Nishino, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Platform Business Group, wrote on the PlayStation Blog:
“We've had five fantastic console generations since the launch of our very first PlayStation console. We believe the beginning of our journey is an important part of our history… which is why we are honoring this moment by bringing the original PlayStation design theme into our latest products for the PS5.”
The 30th Anniversary PS5 Digital Edition Bundle is priced at £429.99 and includes a 1TB SSD, matching DualSense controller, and a vertical stand decked out in the same retro grey colorway. The standalone DualSense controller is priced at £69.99 and features the same retro gray, colorful face buttons, and the OG PS logo.
As for the PS5 Pro Anniversary Edition, it was limited to just 12,300 units worldwide and sold out within minutes. Unfortunately, it’s absent from the restock with no plans for future availability, making it a potentially even more coveted collectible for users across the world.
