PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will get access to a new game on October 21. It is a critically acclaimed remake of a popular horror title.

The PlayStation Plus monthly titles are now available to play across all three tiers. Alan Wake 2 and Goat Simulator 3 should keep you occupied for a while, but if you're looking for something more, a new title is hitting the subscription service on October 21. Unfortunately, this will be available only for PlayStation Plus Extra and higher-tier subscribers.

Bilibilkun, a reliable leaker, says the Silent Hill 2 remake will be the newest addition to PlayStation Plus Extra. Released in October 2024, the modern-day reimagination of a classic survival horror game got praise from critics and fans alike, and it sits at 60,000+ positive reviews on Steam. With over 10 million sales, the game was a resounding commercial success.

For now, the Silent Hill 2 remake cannot leverage the PlayStation 5 Pro's added computing power. A new leak suggests that it might change soon. Additionally, the game could also get a new DLC. The only milestone remaining is an Xbox release, but the rumour mill has been somewhat divided on that.
