OnePlus has seemingly teased the OnePlus 8 Lite, its rumoured next budget handset. Spotted during a talk show hosted in China, the design of a dummy version of the device matches the renders that OnLeaks and 91Mobiles published last year. The OnePlus 8 Lite is rumoured to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 765G SoC among other hardware.

@OnLeaks is generally accurate in his smartphone leaks, and appears to have been proven correct again with the OnePlus 8 Lite. Touted last month by 91Mobiles as an "affordable midrange" device, the renders of the OnePlus 8 Lite departed from the design recent OnePlus smartphones, not least because of its punch-hole display.

Now, a dummy version of a device sporting the same design as @OnLeaks' renders has appeared in a talk show featuring OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. The device first appears at about 29 minutes into the video, but it is not until about 41 minutes when Lau offers a look at its display. A thin sticker covers a portion of the upper segment of the display, so we cannot confirm that it has a punch-hole for a single front-facing camera. The appearance of the tape alone suggests that a camera is hiding at the top of the display, as does the absence of a front-facing camera elsewhere on the display. The lack of a ring on the top side of the frame, which would denote the existence of a motorised pop-up camera, suggests that a camera is hiding beneath that tape too.

The video also showcases unreleased versions of the OnePlus 7T, screenshots of which we have included below. GSMArena expects the device to feature a Snapdragon 765G SoC, although this appears to be purely speculative at this stage. The device is rumoured to have a 6.64-inch OLED display too. Expect OnePlus to unveil the OnePlus 8 Lite in the first half of this year, possibly alongside the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
