The OnePlus 15 doesn't have an official launch date yet, but the company has hinted that it will debut in China on October 27, 2025. This Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship is expected to run OxygenOS 16 in the global market, and the brand's Android 16 skin now has a formal launch date.
As OnePlus has announced, the company will fully unveil OxygenOS 16 on October 16, 2025, following the October 15 release of ColorOS 16 in China. While OnePlus didn't officially share much about its Android 16 skin, it recently teased Gemini AI integration, which is expected to bring many AI-enhanced features.
For example, OnePlus has teased that Google Gemini will have access to Mind Space, an AI-powered app first introduced with the OnePlus 13s. This Gemini integration will allow users to make the AI assistant plan and manage events based on the inputs put into Mind Space.
Of course, this won't likely be the only Gemini integration in OxygenOS 16's built-in apps. Many third-party Android skins have already introduced features that are managed by Google's AI assistant, and OnePlus's upcoming Android 16 skin could follow the same route.
Regarding eligibility, the company has yet to share a complete list of phones that will receive the OxygenOS 16 update. However, per OnePlus's update policy, flagship phones starting from the OnePlus 11 to the OnePlus 13 (256 GB curr. $749.99 on Amazon) should receive the Android 16 update. A handful of Nord devices should also be eligible.
