Nothing is gearing up for a third phone launch this year and it is going to be a true flagship called the Nothing Phone (3). Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, has already stated that the phone will launch in the US and that it will cost around £800 in Great Britain, which is about $1,000 in the US. Now, a new leak hints at the possible flagship SoC, the cameras, and the battery capacity for the Nothing Phone (3).
Smartprix has reported that the Nothing Phone (3) has the internal codename “Metroid” with model number “A024.” This model number was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website as well as in the GSM database. Furthermore, the phone could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC since it is going to be the company’s first true flagship and considering the partnership with Qualcomm. The Nothing Phone (2) is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
As for the cameras, the publication cites sources and claims that the camera system for the Nothing Phone (3) has been significantly reworked, likely compared to the Nothing Phone (2). There may be three cameras this time, including a large primary sensor and a bigger periscope telephoto shooter. The battery capacity is said to get an upgrade as well and possibly go over 5,000 mAh. For reference, the Phone (2) has a 4,700 mAh battery while the CMF Phone 2 Pro, the budget-oriented smartphone by Nothing, has a 5,000 mAh battery.
The Nothing Phone (3) does not have a release date yet but is expected to arrive in July with Android 15. As mentioned earlier, Carl Pei has already hinted at the price which is £800 in Great Britain. Since UK prices include 20% VAT, the US price for the phone could be around $900, if not $1,000 as per direct conversion. This would make the Phone (3) the most expensive phone from the company.
