A new action roguelite, Soulstone Survivors, has launched on Steam with 21K+ "Very Positive" reviews. The top-down RPG features deep builds, fast-paced combat, and no microtransactions - now available with a 35% launch discount.

After a fairly long stint in early access, Soulstone Survivors has officially launched on Steam with version 1.0, and it’s already racking up "Very Positive" reviews - nearly 300 of them in one day - adding to 21,000 pre-existing reviews over the early access period. The game has fast-paced hack-and-slash action with deep roguelite progression, and it’s available now for $9.74 - that's a 35% launch discount on its $14.99 list price.

Developed by Game Smithing Limited, Soulstone Survivors drops players into circular arena-style maps where they fight off endless waves of enemies, unlock hundreds of abilities, and take down massive bosses known as the Void Lords. The goal isn’t just survival - it’s to craft an overpowered build through synergy-heavy skills and passives, then refine your loadout with soulstones collected in each run.

There are over 350 skills, 100+ weapons, and dozens of characters to unlock, each with unique trees, runes, and modifiers. Builds can get absurd quickly, especially as you unlock higher difficulty layers through Curses and new late-game modes like Endless, Titan Hunt, and Unholy Cathedral. The combat stays readable despite the chaos, and cooldown-based abilities give it more of an ARPG feel than something like Vampire Survivors.

Unlike many games in the genre, Soulstone Survivors doesn’t lean on randomness alone. Everything from skill unlocks to crafting is tied into persistent progression systems. There are no microtransactions, and all content is included upfront - something the devs have reiterated often, including with the full 1.0 launch content patch, The Void King.

The game is fully playable offline, supports ultrawide monitors and 4K, and runs on modest specs. It’s also received praise for its slick Unity engine optimization and controller support, though some users did note that more stage variety and enemy types wouldn’t hurt in the long run.

If you think you'd enjoy a roguelite that rewards planning as much as reflexes, Soulstone Survivors is a solid pick - especially now that it’s out of early access and in its most complete form yet. And the 35% discount is a nice icing on the cake as well. Check the game out here.
