The RedMagic Nova is about to get a successor, and this new gaming tablet will be going against the newly launched 4th-gen Lenovo Legion Y700 tab. Per the last announcement, the company will be unveiling the pad on June 11, 2025, in China, and ahead of this imminent launch, the device has popped up on Geekbench.
According to the listing, the upcoming gaming tablet will allegedly have the model number NP05J, which is in line with the model number that the RedMagic Nova has, NP03J. The Geekbench listing also hints that there will be a configuration with 24 GB of RAM, which matches the predecessor's top-end config.
As for the processor, the listing shows that the soon-to-be-launched RedMagic gaming tablet will feature the 8-core Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, it's unclear whether it will be the Leading Version that the recently unveiled 10S Pro smartphone lineup features.
Score-wise, they are in line with how the Snapdragon 8 Elite typically performs, with the single-core score being at 3,217 and the multi-core at 8,350. Of course, the SoC is capable of getting a better multi-core score than this, but it's worth noting that this is a pre-launch Geekbench listing.
Regarding the other specs of the upcoming RedMagic tab, previous reports suggested that it will feature a 9-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400x1504 pixels. This screen size will make it achieve a compact form factor, rivaling the new Lenovo gaming tablet.
Recent reports have also suggested that the new RedMagic gaming tablet will feature an 8,240 mAh battery (24K Anker 737 power bank curr. $87.99 on Amazon) and a built-in active cooling setup. The company is expected to confirm some of the specs ahead of the June 11 launch through teasers.
