Motorola Adaptive Display concept smartphone can be turned into a smartwatch
Today, Lenovo released a series of new concepts that give a glimpse behind the scenes of the company's development department. Whether the products shown will ever be launched on the market is not clear, but the concepts are certainly interesting.
The Motorola Adaptive Display concept smartphone can be bent outwards instead of folding inwards like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 (approx. 1,330 Euros on Amazon). This design allows the 6.9-inch OLED display to wrap around the wrist, effectively making the smartphone act as a very large smartwatch. The back is covered with soft fabric to improve wearing comfort.
Alternatively, a small part of the display can be folded down and thus used as a stand, shrinking the available screen surface to 4.6 inches. Lenovo has unveiled a MotoAI concept to showcase some of the capabilities of artificial intelligence that the company is currently developing, which is supposed to process all data locally on the device. As known from ChatGPT, for example, these AI can answer questions or even formulate texts.
One of the more unusual options is the ability to take a selfie and generate a background image for the smartphone that always matches the outfit you're wearing. With the help of 2.0 Mobile Doc Scan, documents can be scanned with a smartphone camera in significantly higher quality than before, while a concept feature called Privacy Content Obfuscation automatically censors personal data such as names or addresses when a photo is shared on social networks.
