Pretty much every eGPU from the likes of GPD, OneX and Ayaneo comes equipped with an AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT, with the exception of the OneXGPU 2 which can be equipped with an RX 7800M.
Morefine, a brand better known for a wide range of Intel and AMD mini PCs similar to the Intel NUC, has released an eGPU dock that can be equipped with either an RTX 4060 Laptop, 4080 Laptop or 4090 Laptop GPU, with 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM respectively.
The unit boosts up to 180 watts, but at $1259 this isn't a value proposition. However, you could purchase the 4080 Laptop eGPU option for $1089 or the 4060 Laptop eGPU for $639. If you are in line for the RTX 4060 variant, RX 7600M-toting eGPUs such as the OneXGPU (available on Amazon) would likely offer better rasterized performance at a slightly reduced price.
Whichever SKU you go for, you get 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and the option to drive up to 4 displays if you also use one of the USB-C ports. The dock can be connected via Thunderbolt 3, or OCuLink and offers a range of fan modes from "silent" to "high-speed", although you can expect performance to drop accordingly.
Given the number of available port options, the lack of gigabit Ethernet seems like a glaring omission for something that is intended to be tethered to your desk, though you could at least make use of a USB to gigabit Ethernet adapter through one of the 3 full size USB-A ports.
The three Morefine G1 variants are available now, Feb 24, with shipping to the US, EU, UK, Australia and Japan.
