Model name for a global variant of the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro emerges
Xiaomi has a habit of releasing the same smartphone multiple times under different brands, most recently with the Mi 11i, Mi 11X Pro and Redmi K40 Pro Plus. The company also releases several smartphones with similar or identical names, such as the three Redmi Note 10 Pro handsets that it has launched this year.
Xiaomi sells the models in different markets, so there should not necessarily be an overlap of Redmi Note 10 Pro handsets in the same country. According to Kacper Skrzypek, Xiaomi has included references to a new version of the Chinese Redmi Note 10 Pro in MIUI code.
As the screenshot below shows, Xiaomi refers to the Redmi Note 10 Pro as 'back_chopin', with 'chopin' the device's codename. Below that is 'back_chopin_global', which is listed as the POCO X3 GT.
The POCO X3 GT will presumably retain the Redmi Note 10 Pro's specifications, including its MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. The latest Redmi Note 10 Pro also has a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate that Xiaomi has covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. POCO Global has not teased fans with a new smartphone release, but we imagine that it will within the next month or so.
