Model: MSI has always produced very practical and highly user friendly laptops. This particular MSI GE62 2QD has a chassis made of brushed metal on the cover panel with several indented textures that add an edgy and sharp macho feel to the machine. The material that makes up the chassis consist of a lightweight aluminium and Mg-Li alloy. Apart from being lightweight, MSI claims that this special material is much stiffer and is the first of its kind to be used as a backbone in any gaming notebook. The laptop is 2.7 cm thick and weighs 2.4 kg, which falls into the relatively portable category for gaming notebooks.
The anti-glare display is 15.6 inches and features a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The hardware here is led by an Intel Core i7 – 4720HQ with a speed of 2.6 GHz which can overclock to 3.6 GHz. It has an 8 GB RAM and another two slots if the user decides to upgrade. The GPU is an integrated Intel HD4600 but for heavier graphic applications, the system automatically switches to the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M. The main storage is a 128 GB SSD with a 1 TB HDD secondary storage. The OS in this machine is a Windows 8.1. The unique construction and material ensure that you get a firm build, yet flexible usability.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M: Upper mid-range graphics card of the GeForce GTX 900M series.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4720HQ: Haswell-based quad-core processor clocked at 2.6 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.6 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4600 GPU and a dual channel DDR3 memory controller.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
