Little Nightmares III finally gets a release date, comes with an enhanced edition of the original

Bandai Namco has officially announced that Little Nightmares III, the next installment in its beloved horror puzzle-platformer franchise, will release worldwide on October 10, 2025. Developed by Supermassive Games - best known for Until Dawn - this marks the first mainline entry in the series not developed by Tarsier Studios, the original creators of Little Nightmares and its sequel.

Pre-orders for Little Nightmares III are now live

While the final release is weeks away, pre-orders for Little Nightmares III are now live across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch (with Switch and Switch 2 pre-orders launching later). There are four editions available -

• Standard Edition ($39.99): Base game + pre-order bonus “Dark Six” costume set
• Digital Deluxe Edition ($59.99): Includes Expansion Pass Secrets of The Spiral and Residents Costumes Pack
• Collector Mirror Edition ($89.99): Deluxe content + physical goodies like a figurine, metal case, artbook, and OST
• Premium Collector Spiral Edition ($119.99): Exclusive to Bandai Namco Store, includes all Mirror content plus a Nome phone/console holder, music box base for the figurine, and a commemorative Low & Alone coin

All pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC grant early access to the newly revealed Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. 

Further, the Enhanced Edition of the 2017 original will launch along with Little Nightmares III. The tweaked version brings ray tracing, volumetric lighting, improved checkpoint placement, and additional gameplay helpers to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Early access is now available - but only for those who digitally pre-order Little Nightmares III.

Along with the main game and the enhanced edition of the original, Bandai Namco also announced several transmedia expansions. Fans of the franchise can expect a second season for the The Sounds of Nightmares podcast, a new comic book - Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere, a YA novel Little Nightmares: The Lonely Ones, and a stop-motion project.
