Startup was a respectable 45seconds and shutdown just 10seconds. I got over five and a half hours of heavy – Wireless Internet and DVD – use from a full battery charge and it recharged in two hours. The Windows Experience index is 4.7 made up of Processor 6.9 Memory 7.2 Graphics 4.7 Gaming Graphics 6.3 and Hard Disc 5.9.

The Asus U56E-BBL6's long battery life is the prime reason we picked it as our budget laptop Editors' Choice, and the prime reason the Lenovo Z570-10249ZU doesn't topple it from that throne—along with, frankly, the fact that if we were pinching pennies we'd settle for the 6GB of RAM in the system's near twin, the Lenovo V570-1066AJU. But if you're looking for plenty of performance (and can live without a USB 3.0 port), there's a lot to like under the Lenovo Z570-10249ZU's stylish aluminum lid.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: Integrated graphics card in the Intel Sandy Bridge processors (Core ix-2xxx). The HD 3000 is the faster (internally GT2 called) version with 12 Execution Units (EUs).
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

2430M: Dual-core processor based on the Sandy Bridge architecture with an integrated graphics card and dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. The CPU is clocked at 2.4 GHz (Turbo Boost 2.7-3 GHz) and the GPU at 650 (1200 MHz Turbo).» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
15.6": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks. 15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays. However nowadays, more and more 16:9 displays with 15.6 inch appear. The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much energy and the laptops can be kept quite compact.» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
2.6 kg: This notebook is lighter than the average of all notebooks. It is too heavy for sub-notebooks. 14 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.
