A new leak has claimed to reveal some important specifications of Xiaomi's upcoming premium phone, the Mi 11T Pro. The Mi 11T series has now also been tipped to launch shortly—on September 23, to be exact—with the phone expected to be available worldwide like its predecessor.

With the Mi Mix 4 release out of the way, Xiaomi has set its sights on its next set of smartphones. The phones in question will be the Mi 11T series, and a new leak has now provided a launch date for the devices that will succeed last year's Mi 10T series.

As revealed in an exclusive by Gizmochina, the Mi 11T series will launch globally on September 23. The folks over at Gizmochina clarify, however, that while their source is certain about the date, things may change before then. The Mi 10T series was released last year on September 30, so the leaked date fits rather nicely.

Details of the Mi 11T series remain unconfirmed for now. Leaks so far have claimed that the Mi 11T will offer a Dimensity 1200, a 64 MP Omnivision OV64B, and a 120 Hz AMOLED display. None of those make for particularly impressive hardware.

The Mi 11T Pro is the one to watch out for, though, as it's been tipped to replace the MediaTek chipset on the vanilla Mi 11T with a Snapdragon 888. Other features include the same 120 Hz AMOLED on its cheaper sibling, a 5000 mAh battery, and 120 W fast charging. The Mi 11T Pro is expected to carry an equivalent price tag in the region of US$600. For some perspective, the Mi 10T Pro started at €599.
