Larger and rounder: Galaxy S26 Ultra vs Galaxy S25 Ultra size and panel design compared in new leak
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the “Ultra” premium flagship of the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, is said to appear more iPhone-like. What this means is, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could have corners that are noticeably more rounded than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Before today, we didn’t know if this design decision would be accompanied by a change in the overall dimensions of the phone.
UniverseIce has now revealed the exact width and height dimensions of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Additionally, the leaker has also provided what appears to be a mock-up of the front of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and compared it to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, giving us our first look at how the purported rounded corners affect the appearance of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Per UniverseIce, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is around 163.4 mm tall and 77.9 mm wide. This is a slight increase over the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is 162.8 mm tall and 77.6 mm wide. So, both phones could largely be the same size, with the true differentiator being the thickness of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as there have been rumors that Samsung is making the phone thinner.
Looking at the mockups published by UniverseIce on X, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s front looks rounder than the Galaxy S25 Ultra's. While the corners are not as rounded as something like an iPhone 16 Pro Max, the front of the Galaxy S26 Ultra should stand out from that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
All in all, people who were hoping for a change in dimensions for the Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly have to settle for largely the same-sized phone for another year. For what it’s worth, Samsung is, like Oppo, rumored to be radically changing the back camera design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra to potentially accommodate better rear cameras in a thinner chassis.
