Kia recently demonstrated the 2026 EV4 at the 2025 New York International Auto Show. The company claims that it is the first all-electric sedan for the global market. The new model was spotted on US roads and at the Nurburgring racetrack in late 2024, and it is already on sale in Korea.
Customers will be able to choose between three trim levels, all built on the brand’s 400V E-GMP platform with a front-mounted 150 kW motor. The first is the Light, with a 58.3 kWh battery, estimated to provide a 235-mile (~378-km) range, and 17-inch wheels. The second trim is the Wind, with a larger 81.4 kWh battery for an estimated range of 330 miles (~531 km). The range-topping GT-Line uses the same battery as the Wind but has larger 19-inch wheels. According to Kia, the DC fast-charging with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port allows you to recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in around half an hour.
Another feature of the EV4 sedan is the i-Pedal 3.0 with variable regenerative braking, allowing the driver to bring the vehicle to a complete stop solely using the accelerator pedal. Plus, there is support for vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, allowing you to power devices like a laptop or a light, and the Digital Key 2.0 lets you unlock the car from your smartphone. Inside the reportedly spacious cabin is almost 30 inches of display with Kia’s AI Assistant and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. On top of this, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can automatically adjust the set speed in some conditions and also offers Lane Following Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
The 2026 Kia EV4 electric sedan is expected to launch in the US in early 2026. It is scheduled for release in countries including the UK and Australia later in 2025. The pricing of this model in the US has yet to be officially announced, but it is thought to be cheaper than the EV6, which starts from $42,900.
