Kia’s unreleased EV4 has been seen testing on roads in the US. An image indicated that this upcoming electric vehicle has a similar design to the sedan concept revealed last year. However, a hatchback version of the EV4 was also recently spotted on the Nurburgring racetrack.

The Kia EV4 has been spotted on US roads for the first time. The electric vehicle was first mentioned at the brand’s EV Day 2023 event alongside the EV3 and EV5. The concept was an electric sedan that is expected to sit at the lower end of Kia’s range of EVs.

The camouflaged Kia EV4 was captured on roads in California, with an image shared by Instagram user Kindelauto. Here, the EV is shown with a sedan-style rear, similar to the concept. However, a hatchback version of the car was also recently seen testing at the Nurburgring racetrack. It is unclear whether Kia plans to launch both versions of the EV and if it will bring these two options to all markets.

The Kia EV4 is expected to be revealed in the next few months, with deliveries possibly starting at some point in 2025. It has been suggested that the electric vehicle will be sold in countries across North America, Europe and Asia, with a starting price of between $35,000 and $40,000 (~£27,600/€33,200 and £31,600/€37,900). This would make it cheaper than the EV6, which currently starts at $42,600. Further details, such as the powertrain and self-driving or driving assistance features, have yet to be announced.
