Reviews for the Huawei P50

The Huawei P50 is positioned to be a good alternative to the Huawei P50 Pro if budget is a concern. The latter is priced at PHP 45,999 while the former is just PHP 39,999. It has a nice design, a beautiful screen, and powerful cameras and performance. The lack of 5G and Google Mobile Services are the obvious cons, but if you’re okay with 4G LTE, already in the Huawei ecosystem, and in need of a smartphone with one of the best camera systems in the market, the Huawei P50 is still a good phone to have.

The Huawei P50 is a proper generational upgrade from its predecessor, despite a handful of differences in terms of hardware, it has zoomed past the previous model in terms of its optimization and ease-of-use. Versus the competition, it offers a different facet of value that Huawei fans have been waiting for and shows promise in what Huawei will be introducing moving forward. And while there is nothing to complain about with its cameras and interface, it would be nice to see a better refresh rate and shorter setup time in a flagship device retailing for P39,999.

Huawei had to do a major balancing act to make sure that both their P series phones had enough teeth to bite into the market. Were they successful? Looking at the specs on paper and experiencing the P50 for a short while makes us think that they did. There’s enough Pro in the base model to go around with the right compromises to make the distinction between the two siblings. Time will tell if we end up going back on our initial thoughts so stay tuned for our full review.

Archive.org versionIn 2021, Huawei P50 can be said to be a rare small-size straight-screen flagship surrounded by various curved screens. The configuration does not compromise. It depends on the screen-to-body ratio, fast charging speed, performance, and even design. The size of the straight screen flagship is really outstanding. Not to mention the image quality, as a member of the P series, it is unique. If you are a fan of small screens and want to find a “true flagship” for small screens with good imaging capabilities, then the Huawei P50 with accurate positioning and accurate pricing is definitely worth experiencing. Archive.org versionNecessity is the final consideration when purchasing a phone. Without a doubt, the Huawei P50 is a beast on a high budget. It comes with a fantastic design, wonderful screen, powerful processor and even its camera is worth mentioning. This model may cause a sensation for a few years. What worries is the battery capacity. As long as you play many hours of games or watch videos, the battery doesn’t last a full day. When it comes to budget, there are plenty of phones below that price that can get attention. Thus, it is easier to choose a specific one that suits your needs. As there are many alternatives, it is recommended to compare this model with others. So our recommendation would be the Vivo X60t Pro Plus smartphone if your budget is high.
