Samsung has not officially announced its first tri-foldable smartphone yet. Instead, the company keeps promoting the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 (curr. $1,779 on Amazon) as the latest and greatest examples of foldable smartphones. While Huawei has not offered alternatives yet, it is pushing ahead with its second tri-foldable smartphone.
Just yesterday, the company shared its first Mate XTs teaser. Now, it has stepped up its pre-launch campaign by publishing two short Mate XTs-related videos on Weibo. Embedded below, the videos focus on the foldable's stylus support, likely in light of Samsung dropping S Pen integration for its recent Galaxy Z Fold devices.
Moreover, the videos highlight the Mate XTs in two colour options. According to Digital Chat Station, these will arrive as Pure White and Hibiscus Purple with 16 GB of RAM and a choice between 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. On top of that, the leaker believes that Huawei will sell its new tri-fold in Ruby Red and Jet Black finishes; Huawei has not officially showcased these options yet, though. The Mate XTs will launch on September 4 in China alongside other devices like the FreeBuds 7i, a photo of which we have also embedded below.
