Huawei has now started selling the Mate 50 Pro in Europe. Still the company’s current flagship, the Mate 50 Pro has arrived in Europe for €100 less than Huawei advertised it for last month. Arguably one of the best camera flagships released this year, the lack of Google Mobile Services still presents the same issues for most audiences outside China.

Last month, Huawei confirmed via press release that the Mate 50 Pro would soon be available from €1,299 in the Eurozone, or €1,399 with 512 GB of storage. With Huawei confirming that Mate 50E and Mate 50 RS Porsche Design will not be coming to Europe and no further decision apparent for the Mate 50, the Mate 50 Pro is the series’ only representative. While that is the case, Huawei has actually dropped the Mate 50 Pro’s launch price between last month’s announcement and now.

Specifically, Huawei has positioned the Mate 50 Pro at €1,199, which is still an awful lot for a smartphone or any persuasion, let alone one that lacks Google Mobile Services (GMS). Additionally, Huawei has decided to throw in a pair of FreeBuds Pro 2 earbuds with initial orders, effectively further reducing the Mate 50 Pro’s price, although you still must pay €1,199. For reference, Huawei typically sells the FreeBuds Pro 2 for roughly €180 in the Eurozone.

Moreover, it seems that Huawei has dispensed with the 512 GB edition of the Mate 50 Pro for now. Currently, the device is only orderable in the Eurozone with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, plus a choice between black and silver colourways. Similarly, the FreeBuds Pro 2 can be configured in Light Blue, Silver and White, while Huawei also offers the Watch FIT 2, Watch GT Runner and a warranty extension plan at discounts when ordering the Mate 50 Pro’s sole memory configuration. Based on Huawei’s website, it will start shipping pre-orders from November 10 onwards. Please see our Mate 50 Pro launch article for more details about Huawei’s latest flagship.
