HP has just announced a new Omen 16 League of Legends Limited Edition laptop, specifically for fans of Riot Games' globally popular title. The model features a black and gold colorway, custom keyboard detailing, and several design easter eggs that reference Runeterra - the planet the main LoL canon universe is set in.
The limited edition Omen 16 can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. The laptop supports up to 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. Display options include a 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) panel with up to 240Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness, or a 2K (1920×1200) version with a maximum of 165 Hz. Both use IPS tech, support Variable Refresh Rate, and cover 100% sRGB.
Cooling is handled by HP’s upgraded thermal system with high-efficiency fans and noise reduction technology. The laptop also features "Omen AI" for automatic performance tuning and an "Unleashed" Mode that pushes system power limits for higher frame rates.
Connectivity-wise, the laptop comes with one USB-C (10 Gbps) with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery, three USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45, and a headphone/mic combo jack. Wireless options include Intel Wi-Fi 6E or Realtek Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.3/5.4.
Battery capacity goes up to 83 Wh, with fast charging capable of reaching 50% in 30 minutes. The system weighs approximately 2.43 kg, and HP has used recycled materials in several components - including 5% ocean-bound plastic and 50% recycled plastic in keycaps and scissors. This edition of the Omen 16 also comes with HyperX Audio, DTS:X Ultra, and a 1080p HP True Vision camera. It runs Windows 11 Home and comes Energy Star certified.
