A compact laptop with an AMD Ryzen 4000 and two RAM slots sounds great. If you combine this with good input devices and business features, it sounds even better. It's just a pity that the HP EliteBook 835 G7 has a below-average display.

The EliteBook scores with a powerful, energy-efficient Rembrandt APU, USB 4, LTE modem and very good battery runtimes. HP installs a very bright 13.3-inch screen in the work-friendly 16:10 format (1,920 x 1,200) along with an optional privacy filter.

In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
AMD Vega 6: Integrated graphics adapter of the Ryzen APUs based on the Vega architecture with 6 CUs (= 384 shaders) and a clock of up to 1,500 MHz.
AMD Radeon 680M: Integrated graphics card in the Ryzen 6000 mobile series APUs based on the RDNA2 architecture with 12 CUs (= 768 shaders) and a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz.

AMD Renoir (Ryzen 4000 APU):
R5 PRO 4650U: Mobile Hexa-Core APU using six Zen 2 cores clocked at 2.1 to 4 GHz and a Vega graphics adapter with 6 CUs clocked at up to 1500 MHz. The PRO version of Renoir offers additional security and management features.
AMD Rembrandt (Zen 3+):
R7 PRO 6850U: Mobile Octa-Core APU using Zen 3+ cores clocked at 2.7 to 4.7 GHz and a RDNA2 graphics adapter with 12 CUs clocked at up to 2,200 MHz. The TDP is specified at 15 - 28 Watts. The Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U is the professional version of the consumer R7 6800U with additional management features and the Microsoft Pluton Security processor.
