Garmin brings more features and improvements to Fenix 6, Enduro, Tactix and MARQ series smartwatches in Alpha version 22.76 update
Garmin has updated Fenix 6, Enduro, Tactix and MARQ series smartwatches once again with another Alpha software build. Now on Alpha version 22.76, the four smartwatch series were only recently upgraded to Alpha software 22.75. For reference, Garmin's Alpha builds fall under its beta program and should be considered as such, rather than as alpha software updates.
According to Garmin, it has introduced eleven changes with Alpha version 22.76 from v22.75. Specifically, the company has added HRV status widget glance and a heat acclimation history page to Training Status. As far as we can tell, all changes apply across the Fenix 6, Enduro, Tactix and MARQ series and are not restricted to a specific device. Additionally, Garmin claims to have improved fonts on the acute load page as well as fixing other minor Training Status UI issues.
Moreover, Alpha version 22.76 should prevent a potential issue where a non-Pro device would restart during an activity. Separately, the new update addresses a bug when calibrating altitude via the DEM option where the prompt to enter sea level pressure was skipped, plus a different issue that resulted in RCT disconnected when on the widget glance.
Furthermore, Alpha version 22.76 fixes a potential shutdown on the sensors about page, along with potential issues where the Daily Floors Climbed Goal alert would not alert and Battery Saver mode would randomly turn on after an activity or accessing a menu. Finally, Garmin claims to have overcome an issue with VO2 Max colouring in the Training Status Widget. Alpha version 22.76 is available to download now from Garmin's blog post, which contains links for all relevant smartwatch models.
