The Galaxy S25 series is Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup. It currently consists of the standard S25, S25+, S25 Edge, and the S25 Ultra. The company is expected to release the Galaxy S25 FE in September as a more affordable option in the series.
A new leak on the social media site X reveals the key specifications of the Galaxy S25 Fan Edition. The leak suggests the phone will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1900 nits. Samsung is expected to use Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back of the phone.
There has been uncertainty about the phone’s chipset. There was a previous rumor that Samsung might use the Exynos 2400e, the same chipset found in the S24 FE. The new leak claims that the S25 FE uses the Exynos 2400. Additionally, the leaker suggests that the phone will feature a better cooling system.
The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to have a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, the phone is said to use a 12MP front camera. For comparison, the S24 FE (curr. $549 on Amazon) has a similar rear camera setup but a 10MP selfie camera.
The S25 FE reportedly has a 4,900mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. Its predecessor had a smaller 4,700mAh battery and a 25W charging speed. Other notable leaked features of the S25 FE include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and WiFi 6e connectivity. In terms of software, the smartphone may ship with One UI 8.
The phone is expected to come in multiple color options including black, white, navy, and light blue. A previous leak suggested that pricing will be similar to last year’s S24 FE, which launched at €749 for the 12/128GB variant.
