Fujitsu debuts LIFEBOOK E series notebooks at CeBIT
Fujitsu announced its new LIFEBOOK E series of business notebooks, designed and optimized for enterprise mobility. All three notebooks have common traits aimed at reducing IT department overhead.

Fujitsu has announced its LIFEBOOK E series notebooks targeting corporate environments. The E series comprises a 15.6-inch, a 14-inch and a 13.3-inch notebook, all relatively thin and sporting solid magnesium lids. In a move to help enterprises reduce expenses Fujitsu has standardized the mainboard, AC adapter, port replicator and BIOS across the range.

The LIFEBOOK E753 is a lightweight notebook with a 15.6-inch display. Fujitsu claims it is 1 cm slimmer and weighs 20% less than the average business notebook. There is also the LIFEBOOK E743 which has a 14-inch display and weighs in at 1.9 kg, and finally there is the E733 at 1.7 kg sporting a 13.3-inch display.

Though not evident in the photos provided with the press release, all three notebooks have a slightly wedge-shaped design starting at 20 mm in the front and go up to 27 mm at the back. Each notebook in the series can also be outfitted with an optional backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader.

Fujitsu’s LIFEBOOK E Series notebooks are currently available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and pricing starts at €1249. Options include Intel Core i3 to i7 Ivy Bridge processors, HDDs or SSDs up to 500 GB and 512 GB respectively, and up to 16 GB RAM.
