Epson is releasing seven new EcoTank Printers in Europe. Two of these series, the ET-3950 and ET-4950, were released in the US earlier in 2025 as solutions for the home office or a small business. These are launching alongside the entry-level ET-2950 Series, designed for families.
These Epson printers have refillable ink tanks; instead of burying new ink cartridges, users top up the existing cartridges using bottled ink. The company suggests that the “no-squeeze, gravity fed key-lock bottle” is relatively easy to use. Plus, it claims that users save up to 95% on printing costs compared to a cartridge model, with one set of ink bottles equivalent to 63 ink cartridges. A replacement set of ink (337 ml multipack), priced at £39.49/€46.49, is said to deliver 8,500 black and 6,500 color pages. The ET-2950 Series prints 6,600 black and 5,500 color pages, while the other two series can deliver up to 15,100 pages in black.
There are also differences in printing speeds, with the ET-2950 Series offering mono print speeds of 15 ppm and color print speeds of 8 ppm, while the ET-3950 Series and ET-4950 Series are faster with 18 ppm mono printing and 9 ppm color printing. All models offer automatic double-sided scanning and copying, with an auto-opening output tray and support for dual-band Wi-Fi. They can be managed through the Epson Smart Panel App, and each offers different screens, with LCD for the ET-2950 and ET-3950, and a touch panel for the ET-4950.
You can now buy the Epson ET-2950/51/56 EcoTank Printers for £319.99/€359.99 in Europe. Meanwhile the ET-3950/56 and ET-4950/56 EcoTank Printers retail for £439.99/€499.99 and £459.99/€529.99, respectively. In the US, the ET-4950 retails for $499.99, but is currently available for $399.99 at Amazon.
