Edifier has announced a new pair of earbuds that pack a lot of features at a pretty affordable price. Called the Lolli Pro SE, the new earbuds which rival the OnePlus Buds 4, are available in China for now but might eventually get a global release, albeit with an alphanumeric model name.
The Lolli Pro SE earbuds have a stem design with the upper part that fits into the ears pointing downwards. In addition, the earbuds have an IP55 dust and water rating, and according to Edifier, the silicone tips are antibacterial. They are available in Cloud White, Mint Green, Ice Kite Purple, and Secret Night Blue.
Edifier says the Lolli Pro SE has active noise cancellation (up to 48dB noise cancellation). There are also three microphones per earbud which help with wind noise reduction during calls. Another feature of the Lolli Pro SE is their support for a low-latency gaming mode.
Like the Edifier Doo Ace on-ear headphones, the Lolli Pro SE have Bluetooth 6.0, and thanks to Bluetooth Multipoint, they can be paired to two devices at the same time. They also support real-time translation of up to 21 languages. The earbuds are Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified and have support for 96kHz/24bit audio, LDAC, and spatial audio just like the OnePlus Buds 4.
With respect to battery life, the Edifier Lolli Pro SE is said to provide 10 hours of listening time with ANC on or 13 hours with ANC off. The total battery life with the textured carrying case goes up to 33 hours with ANC on and 43 hours with ANC off. In contrast, the OnePlus Buds 4 is advertised as providing up to 6 hours of use with ANC on 11 hours with ANC off and a total of 24 hours with the case (45 hours with ANC off). Edifier also says its earbuds have support for fast charging as a 15-minute charge will provide 4 hours of listening time.
The Edifier Lolli Pro SE are available to order now in China for just CNY 249 (~$35/€30), and at that price they are significantly cheaper than the OnePlus Buds 4 which cost $129.99 at launch but are currently available on Amazon for $99.99.
