Purpose built with world class security features, the Dell Latitude 14 E7470 is made for business on-the-go. The Windows 10 Pro Ultrabook has an overall sleek profile and a modern design. The magnesium alloy chassis is durable and there is an optional woven carbon fibre top cover. The laptop comes with a spill-proof chiclet keyboard with backlight and a comfortable trackpad. Its 14.0 inch anti-glare panel features FHD resolution and optional touch capability and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass NBT technology. The 1.50 kg Ultrabook is equipped with an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor clocked at 2.6 GHz and an intel Integrated HD Graphics 520 GPU as the best possible configuration. Besides this, there are 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 256 M.2 SSD as blazing fast internal storage. The Dell Latitude 14 E7470 comes with a plethora of included security software and optional security add-ons ranging from a security card reader to a fingerprint sensor. A convenient feature of the Dell Latitude 14 E7470 is its abundance of ports including three USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, a HDMI out and a network connector. New benchmark. A laptop rarely manages such a high score. Can the expensive WQHD version meet the highest expectations? To say it right away, the battery runtimes are a bit disappointing, but the rest of the 14-inch device will be the benchmark for the ultimate business to go.

Lenovo's slim ThinkPad T460s is a strong alternative that doesn't have that issue, but it doesn't last nearly as long on a charge as Dell's system. That's enough to make the Latitude 14 7000 a really easy laptop to recommend.

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a powerful and durable laptop designed for business use. Thus, its specifications are customizable and users may opt for a touchscreen display. In addition, users can select a stunning 14” WQHD display, which is durable as it uses Corning Gorilla Glass NBT. Secured with two hinges, the screen is capable of lying completely flat. Its solidness is unquestionable as it is built on a magnesium alloy chassis. In addition, the device is lightweight with 1.52 kg. Performance-wise, it is powered by Intel's sixth generation family, either with a Core i5-6300U or a Core i7-6600U, up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM, and a Samsung 256 GB M2 2280 SATA3 SSD. Standard connectivity is available on this machine with a Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI, a DisplayPort, three USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, and a SIM slot. Dell's business laptops from the Latitude and Precision series are an option for professional users and businesses.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. 14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
