Citizen just announced an update to its Promaster line for October 2025 - and it includes three new Eco-Drive combination watches - JV2000-51L, JV2005-58E, and JV2006-55H - all featuring the newly developed Cal. U830 movement.
A key highlight of the new watches is the adoption of a Memory In Pixel (MIP) display for sharper visibility and shows information in a more crisp and detailed manner as compared to conventional segmented LCDs. The display should make local time and date easier to read in various lighting conditions, including direct sunlight. Supporting functions include a world time feature with 43 selectable cities, a 1/100-second chronograph, alarm, perpetual calendar, power reserve indicator, and light-level indicator to track Eco-Drive power generation over the past week.
The watches measure 43mm in diameter and 13.8mm in thickness, which is a pretty balanced size for everyday wear. Cases and bracelets are crafted from stainless steel, with some models using grey-colored plating for a refined finish. Sapphire glass is used for the sake of durability. The new watches also have bold luminous hands and indices for visibility in low-light conditions. Each model is water-resistant to 10 BAR and uses a pilot’s slide rule bezel for a cockpit-inspired design.
Pricing is projected at $795 for the JV2000-51L and JV2006-55H, and $850 for the JV2005-58E.
