The Casio G-Shock G-Lide GLX-S5610 series watches will launch this June. Two variants are on the way: the GLX-S5610-2 (blue) and the GLX-S5610-4 (pink/red). These two watches have been designed in collaboration with professional surfer Bettylou Sakura Johnson with bright colors inspired by flowers from Hawaii.
Bettylou is seen wearing these two Casio GLX-S5610 watches in a recently published YouTube video (below). Photos of the wearables have also been shared in a report by Japanese media outlet Mynavi News, which reveals more details about the upcoming products.
The GLX-S5610-2 and GLX-S5610-4 digital watches have a bio-resin casing and strap with a metal frame around the LCD screen. Features include moon data, a tide graph and a 1/100th second stopwatch. There is support for world time with 48 cities on offer, and an LED backlight can help you read the display at night. Plus, they are expected to be water-resistant to 20 bar and run for around three years on its replaceable battery.
Casio’s new G-Shock G-Lide GLX-S56100-2 and GLX-S56100-4 watches are expected to be launched in Japan in June with an RRP of ¥15,950 ($111). It is unclear whether these watches will be released in other markets like Europe, where older models like the GLX-S5600-1 were sold.
