New high-resolution renders of the upcoming Casio G-Shock "Modern Industrial" series have surfaced online ahead of the series' expected November 2025 debut (and after we first saw these watches last week). Thanks to these, we get our clearest look yet at the pixel-perfect details and textures behind the brand’s latest metal-cased GM-5600 and GM-2100 variants. The renders showcase substantial industrial design cues, previously spotted in low-res images and leaks. This time around, the upgrades and nuances are unmistakable - with some new details emerging exclusively from these images.
The bezels have a unique pyramidal, grid-like texture, quite different from earlier metal G-Shocks - which, as confirmed by Casioblog, is not laser-engraved but a genuinely three-dimensional finish. This pattern, which resembles industrial milled surfaces, is said (in the supporting Russian language coverage) to look like heavy-duty metalworking equipment. The result is a surface that resembles functional, grippy handles or machine components.
According to the source's analysis, this textured surface isn’t just about looks. The pattern is less prone to showing fingerprints and minor scratches, which makes the watches particularly suitable for those who value both design and toughness in their watches. Plus, this could be of advantage for entry-level models that lack advanced coatings like IP or DLC for scratch resistance. Even in close-ups, the finish appears finely matte and resistant to smudging.
Both models, the GM-5600M-1 and GM-2100M-1A, sport negative (inverted) LCDs with high contrast - and a bold red "WR 20BAR" label puts a pop of color against the all-black face. Additionally, there is specific coverage highlighting how the full surface, not just the bezel, is laser-treated for an anti-glare, matte look, which further reduces the chance of visible wear or fingerprints - a bonus for daily-wear users.
Additional info from the Russian sources confirms two "Gunmetal" models (GM-5600BM-1 and GA-2100BM-1A) will join the launch roster, with a distressed, deep grey shade that is more industrial than the regular silver. Although photos of these darker variants aren't available at the time of writing, pricing is expected to closely match the silver options, pegged around $220 for the GM-5600M-1 and $240 for the GM-2100M-1A in initial reports.
Feature-wise, the new models stick to the trusted G-Shock formula: 200-meter water resistance, multiple alarms, countdown timer, calendar, stopwatch, world time (exclusive to GM-2100), and a robust battery life (5 years for the GM-5600, 3 years for the GM-2100). Both "-1JF" silver and "BM-1JF" gunmetal styles are expected for each shape, with release in key global markets imminent.
