Developer Raven Software has unveiled first details about the new map which will be released with the upcoming update for the free-to-play hit Call of Duty Warzone. The update will also introduce technical and other welcome changes to the Battle Royale multiplayer shooter.

Raven Software is working hard to develop new content for its popular free-to-play shooter Call of Duty Warzone. During a new video which unveiled the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty Vanguard (from US$59 on Amazon), the latest main entry into the iconic shooter series, the developer has also announced exciting details regarding the upcoming update for Warzone which will introduce an all-new map.

The new map will be set on a tropical island located in the Pacific Ocean, and the first screenshots give a pretty good impression of Warzone's picturesque new level. The environment is definitely much greener and more beautiful than the original Verdansk map, but both maps are supposedly very similar in terms of size. According to the post on the official Call of Duty blog, the new map was developed with the same modern engine which also powers the gorgeous graphics of Call of Duty Vanguard.

Furthermore, the developers of Call of Duty Warzone have announced that with the update, a new multifaceted anti-cheat system will be introduced for the PC version of the game. It is currently in its final testing stage and is supposed to make quick work of cheaters. The exact release date of the Call of Duty Warzone update has not been revealed yet, but the new map and anti-cheat system should arrive later this year. Call of Duty Vanguard on the other hand is scheduled to be released for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox consoles on November 5.
