Boox has refreshed its Note line of E Ink tablets with a new model. The Boox Note Air5 C looks like its predecessor, the Note Air4 C, but now has support for a keyboard cover for more productive work.

In addition to the Palma 2 Pro, Boox also announced the Note Air5 C, which arrives as the latest model in its Note series, and the successor to the Note Air4 C released a year ago.

The Boox Note Air5 C is a slight upgrade over the Note Air4 C released a year ago. As a matter of fact, not a lot has changed. Boox hasn't even bothered to upgrade the design or even launch the new model in a different color to differentiate it from the previous generation.

However, a notable addition is the presence of pogo pins on the back of the Note Air5 C, which allows it to connect to a keyboard accessory. This magnetic keyboard cover, which costs $109.99, transforms the Boox Note Air5 C into a notebook, allowing users to type out emails, articles, and more. The keyboard cover also has a USB-C port that allows for passthrough charging when the Note Air5 C is attached.

The Boox Note Air5 C has a 10.3-inch Kaleido 3 color ePaper display, and unlike Amazon's new Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, which has uniform bezels, the Note Air5 C has a thicker left side that allows users to hold it without pressing on the screen. Boox says the tablet has an anti-glare screen and an adjustable front light.

Powered by an unnamed octa-core processor, the Boox Note Air5 C has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a camera on the back for scanning documents. Like the Note Air4 C (curr. available on Amazon for $499.99), it has stylus support. The supported stylus is the Boox Pen3, and it has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt sensitivity, and ultra-low latency. It also has a compartment for storing extra nibs.

The Boox Note Air5 C has a fingerprint scanner, a 3,700mAh battery capacity, and ships with Android 15 out of the box. It has a USB-C port, which is still on the left side like on the previous generation. It also has speakers and microphones. Priced at $529.99/€529.99, the Boox Note Air5 C is available to order now.

Boox ships it with a stylus with five extra nibs and a protective magnetic case that can be used in portrait or landscape orientations. If you choose the keyboard cover bundle, you get a discount of ~$33/€33 and pay $606.99/€606.99 instead of $639.98/€639.98.
