Between September 25 and 30, Nintendo fans can look forward to several major releases. Highlights include PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds provides a fresh alternative for those tired of Mario Kart World, while LEGO Party! is a family-friendly option. Also launching is EA SPORTS FC 26, the first new entry in EA’s football series debuting on the Switch 2. All of these titles will be available on both the standard Switch and the Switch 2.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - September 25th
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is an arcade kart racer from Sonic Team – essentially Mario Kart in the Sonic universe. Its standout feature is the use of "Travel Rings," which transport players to alternate parts of the track called CrossWorlds. As a result, each race spans multiple, often radically different environments. Depending on the section, vehicles dynamically shift between kart, boat and plane, adding both variety and challenge.
EA SPORTS FC 26 - September 26th
EA SPORTS FC 26 (formerly FIFA) continues the long-running football series with several new features. For the first time, players can choose between two distinct presets: "Competitive Gameplay," which delivers fast, responsive controls ideal for online modes like Ultimate Team, and "Authentic Gameplay," which emphasizes realism in offline modes such as Career, with natural ball physics, slower pacing and stronger defensive play. The game also introduces new playstyles, archetypes and pro roles, enabling more personalized and varied player abilities.
PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC - September 26th
With PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC, the iconic yellow hero returns in a fully redesigned take on the 2002 3D platformer. The game revisits the classic story: ghosts steal the golden fruits from Pac-Village, accidentally unleashing the powerful ghost king Spooky. It’s up to Pac-Man to travel across Pac-Land, reclaim the stolen fruits, and put an end to the evil threat once more.
Compared to the original, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC adds a range of gameplay enhancements. Pac-Man now has new abilities such as the rechargeable Super Butt-Bounce, which stuns enemies and helps reach higher platforms. Pac-Dot Attacks return with the added ability to temporarily stun foes. Quality-of-life improvements include retaining collected items after death, a new flip kick for ground combat and an air marker showing where Pac-Man will land during jumps. The game also features a new easier difficulty setting and a two-player co-op mode. In co-op, a second player controls a Pac-Drone – a small flying companion that helps collect items or distract enemies during levels.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles - September 30th
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles revives the beloved 1997 tactical RPG, retelling the journey of Ramza Beoulve as he battles the corruption of church and nobility in the war-torn kingdom of Ivalice. Set against a backdrop of political intrigue and divine conflict, the remaster updates the classic for a modern audience while staying true to its roots – delivering a rich experience for both longtime fans and newcomers.
The remaster offers two presentation modes: Classic Mode preserves the original experience, including the translation from The War of the Lions, while Enhanced Mode introduces a range of quality-of-life improvements. These include an updated interface, auto-save, faster gameplay, a tactical overview and a clearer turn order system. A day-one patch also adds the ability to obtain the legendary Genji armor – a rare item that was inaccessible in the original release.
LEGO Party! - September 30th
LEGO Party! brings the classic party game formula into the LEGO universe, offering a Mario Party-style experience with a brick-built twist. Players move across a game board, gather items and face off in quick mini-games. In themed "Challenge Zones" – inspired by LEGO worlds like Pirates, NINJAGO and Space – up to four players compete to collect as many golden LEGO bricks as possible. Gameplay alternates between rolling dice to move around the board and fast-paced challenges such as dance-offs, races and skill-based mini-games. A highlight is the extensive minifigure customization, with countless combinations that let every player create a unique character.
