Bambu Lab's H2D three-dimensional printer now has a brother, the H2D Pro, that brings an enterprise grade Ethernet port with a physical kill switch. The nozzle has been swapped to a Tungsten Carbide one for improved durability.

Back in May, Bambu Lab released the H2D 3D printer that doubles as a laser cutter and engraver. Now, it has released sort of a version two called the H2D Pro with a few minor upgrades. The 3D printer comes with the multicolor printing system as well as the new single filament dryer included in the package. Of course, like the original, it supports the laser engraver and cutter module which can be purchased separately.

Bambu Lab H2D Pro specifications and features

To differentiate the H2D Pro from the H2D, Bambu Lab has given it a more dark grey color rather than the light silver of the original. One of the major upgrades is the Ethernet port and a physical kill switch for Wi-Fi security. It also features WPA2-enterprise Wi-Fi authentication for businesses and institutions that use 3D printers as part of their operations. Furthermore, Bambu Lab is offering collaboration with clients to create personalized fleet management tools that work as per the client’s workflows.

The original H2D comes with a Hardened Steel nozzle while the Pro model comes with a Tungsten Carbide nozzle. While the max supported temperature is the same for both nozzles, the H2D Pro should be more durable. The toolhead has also been equipped with an improved high-performance fan that allows for a 3 degree increase in the recommended operating temperature.

Coming to filtration, the H2D Pro has improved VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) filtration and additional particulate matter filtration to keep odors and toxic fumes at bay. This is on top of the G3 filter, H12 grade HEPA filter, and granulated coconut shell activated Carbon filter that are present in the H2D as well.

The package for the Pro model includes the printer itself, one textured PEI plate, an emergency button, the AMS 2 Pro multi-filament system, the AMD HT enclosure, and the Vision Encoder Plate.

Bambu Lab H2D Pro price and availability

As of now, Bambu Lab has not shared availability details for the H2D Pro but it is priced at $3,799. It has, however, been listed on the MatterHackers website for the same price for pre-order and is expected to start shipping from August 20. Notably, the upgraded toolhead will be available for the original H2D as well in the near future.
