Reviews for the Asus U33JC-RX168V
Source: Itsvet HR→EN Archive.org version
The configuration is fairly well designed, with 2.53GHz Intel Core i3-380m processor , 3GB of DDR3 memory (it is possible to upgrade it to 4GB), 500GB hard drive and a separate nVidia GeForce 310M graphics card, which has 1GB of its own memory. Since there is integrated graphic too, as well as support for NVIDIA Optimus technology, the system will turn on automatically one at a time or two graphic cards depending on the requirements. In addition to the LAN adapter, there are also Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1. Thanks to 4400mAh built-in battery, autonomy is 4 hours of average usage, which is very good considering the fact this is a good configuration. In addition, the package comes with a carrying case, and a mouse with an attractive bamboo finish that perfectly fits the laptop.

NVIDIA GeForce 310M: The GeForce 310M is the successor of the GeFore G210M and based on the same chip with very similar clock rates (shader speed +30MHz to 1530MHz).
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

380M: The Core i3-380M is a fast clocked Core i3. The TurboBoost, AES, VTd, and Trusted Execution functions are deactivated in the i3-series. Therefore, it always clocks with max. 2.53 GHz (of course Speedstep is included). Thanks to Hyperthreading, 4 threads can be processed simultaneously. An integrated graphics card (GMA HD) and a DDR3 memory controller are also included in the package.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
