Asus Transformer 2 may be coming this November

European users may get first dibs on the Kal-El-equipped tablet for about £530

The successor to the successful original Asus Eee Pad Transformer could be coming to Europe as soon as this November 7th.

According to Electronista, Polish website tabletowo.pl reportedly spotted the Transformer 2 tablet on the UK online retailer Lambda-Tek with a November ship date. Unfortunately, the source news has since been taken offline at the request of Nvidia, so the supposed November launch should be taken with a grain of salt.

Expected to be one of the first Tegra 3 tablets, the 10.1-inch Transformer 2 is said to be equipped with 1GB RAM, Android Honeycomb and up to a 32GB SSD. A model running Windows 8 may be a reality as well. The online listing supposedly marked the tablet for £537.85 ($850), says Electronista, but we will have to wait for further official announcements before any of these specifications can be confirmed.

The November launch coincides well with Nvidia’s plans to make available the Tegra 3 paltform to manufacturers. It would be the first quad-core mobile platform out to market if the November deadline is on track.
