Teclast has begun selling a new ArtPad-branded tablet after releasing the ArtPad Pro over the summer (curr. $279.99 on Amazon). Now, Teclast has switched to the ArtPad Air, which adopts an 11-inch IPS display that outputs at 1,840 x 1,280 pixels with a 7:5 aspect ratio, a 90 Hz refresh rate and 400 nits peak brightness.
According to the company, this relatively large display is set within a 249 x 179.5 x 7.5 mm housing that also contains an 8,000 mAh battery and contributes to a 523 g overall weight. Moreover, the ArtPad Air leverages the MediaTek Helio G100, a 6 nm and octa-core chipset that we have reviewed inside the Oppo Pad SE and Redmi Pad 2 4G so far. Complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the Helio G100 edges the Helio G99 powering the ArtPad Pro in our benchmarks.
Additionally, Teclast includes Android 15, microSD card expansion, GPS and cellular connectivity. For the time being, the ArtPad Air is only available in Japan, where the tablet retails for JPY 30,690 (~$209) including taxes. The ArtPad Air should receive a global release eventually, though.
