Apart from its two new Vero XL2 series laser projectors, Acer has also introduced a new short-throw laser projector for more constrained spaces - the Vero SL2520n - which can project a 100-inch image from approximately 1.1 meters, as claimed by Acer. It provides native 1080p resolution with support up to WUXGA, delivering 4,000 ANSI lumens (3,200 ANSI lumens Eco) for bright rooms.
The laser light source is rated for up to 30,000 hours. This short-throw setup is complemented by a fixed lens with digital 1.43x zoom and a 0.49 throw ratio, which should make large-image deployment near the screen fairly simple. Installation features include 360-degree projection, portrait mode, and 2D/four-corner keystone correction for alignment flexibility.
The unit has a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 93% Rec.709 coverage for color-accurate visuals in signage or presentation contexts. Connectivity-wise, the SL2520n will ship with two HDMI 2.0 inputs (HDCP 2.2), 3.5 mm audio out, USB Type-A DC out, RS-232, and a dedicated Ethernet (RJ45) port for LAN control. An integrated 15 W speaker is present for standalone audio, while Eco noise is listed at 29 dBA.
The chassis meets IP6X dust resistance and supports 24/7 operation as well. The Acer Vero SL2520n is slated for Q4 2025 availability at 1,199 EUR/CHF - that roughly translates to $1,398.
