Acer has unveiled the Predator X27U F8, a 26.5-inch WQHD OLED gaming monitor for players who need extreme refresh rates and rapid response times - more than likely, competitive gamers. The display runs at a native 540 Hz and can reach up to 720 Hz using Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR), paired with a quoted 0.01-0.03 ms (GTG) response for motion clarity.
It covers 99% of DCI-P3 and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification for deep blacks and high contrast. Peak brightness is listed at 1,500 nits in HDR highlights with a typical 335 nits SDR, and contrast is specified at 1,500,000:1.
Inputs include two HDMI (2.1), one DisplayPort (2.1), and USB-C with 90W power delivery, plus two USB-A 3.2 up and two down for peripherals. The monitor also comes with dual 5W speakers and supports a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount, with ergonomic adjustments for tilt, swivel, pivot, and height.
Viewing angles are rated at 178° horizontal and vertical, and color depth is specified at 10-bit. Acer also mentions that the X27U F8 will have AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support for synchronized, low-latency HDR gaming.
Availability is slated for Q2 2026 with a list price of 1,199 EUR/CHF, subject to regional variation. The feature set of the monitor is specifically designed to reduce blur and input latency to a minimum, especially for competitive scenarios, while maintaining HDR fidelity and wide color reproduction.
