Those looking for a good all-round tablet that is just as suitable for web browsing as it is for watching movies and series or for gaming, the Honor Pad 10 is a solid choice.
Good sound, long battery life and 6 years of updates
In addition to 6 high-quality speakers, the Honor Pad 10 supports DRM Widevine L1, allowing it to play copy-protected web streams from Netflix in HD quality.
The tablet's good battery life, practically guaranteeing a day of intensive use, and its software support also speak in its favor. 6 years of OS upgrades and Android security updates are promised. The latter is expected to be rolled out every two months.
Aluminum housing, 120 Hz display and fast SoC
Weighing 525 grams, the Pad 10 is slightly lighter than comparably sized devices. This is due, among other things, to its aluminum chassis, which gives the tablet a high-quality look and feel while also making it quite robust.
The Pad 10 does not have IP certification, making it primarily suitable for indoor use. The brightness of its 120 Hz IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 is more than sufficient. At an average of 499 cd/m², the PWM-free panel almost exactly reaches the manufacturer's specification of 500 nits in our tests.
Equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, the Honor Pad 10 handles everyday tasks with ease, only slowed down by very demanding apps. It's also suitable for gaming. While it cannot compete with gaming tablets, it can still run graphically demanding titles such as Genshin Impact at 40 FPS at the highest detail level.
Disadvantages: No cellular version, no GPS, no fingerprint sensor
Users have to accept some compromises on the Pad 10. For example, there is no fingerprint sensor, no NFC or GPS module. Furthermore, Honor doesn't offer a cellular version of its WiFi 6 tablet, and the 256 GB storage isn't expandable.
