Sony Xperia X with powerful 23 MP rear camera launching this weekend
Sony will be launching its flagship Xperia X smartphone this May 28th across Europe. The smartphone was unveiled at MWC 2016 back in February and will kick start Sony's streamlined lineup of Xperia X smartphones. The device will run Android 6.0 with Lime Gold, Graphite Black, Rose Gold, and White color options for a starting price of 600 Euros.
A key selling point of the 5-inch Xperia X will be its 24 mm rear and 22 mm front camera features. Its main wide-angle 23 MP F2.0 camera includes predictive auto-focus for improved clarity when snapping fast-moving objects. Meanwhile, its hybrid auto-focus feature will automatically adjust and optimize camera settings based on the distance and size of the object.
The front-facing 13 MP camera offers a much higher megapixel count than most other smartphones in the market. Additionally, it uses a Sony Exmor R sensor that was developed in-house by the manufacturer. Sony promises quick snapshots at less than one second each.
The Xperia X is equipped with Sony's signature 1080p Triluminos display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 3 GB RAM, and a metal finish. Full specifications of the device can be found on Sony's official product page below.
