Teaser
The waterproof device will apparently pack a quad-core processor complemented by a 10-inch Full HD screen

A Japanese Twitter account carrying the name @Xperia_info has leaked specs of what is expected to be Sony’s forthcoming Xperia Tablet Z. Codenamed “Pollux”, the rumoured water- and dustproof slate PC will reportedly run on an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and will measure 6.9mm at its thickest point.

Manufactured by Sony Mobile, the portable device will presumably be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 system on a chip that incorporates four Krait cores operating at a frequency of 1.5GHz and an Adreno 320 GPU.  Furthermore, the alleged new tablet is equipped with a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a WUXGA native resolution of 1920-by-1200 pixels.

Other features reportedly include Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE connectivity, dual cameras – an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing web camera for video calls, 32GB of internal flash storage, 2GB of RAM and a 6,000mAh battery.

There’s still no (official) word on pricing and availability, though. We will keep you updated, when we have more information.
