The realme 10 offers a stunning 90 Hz Super AMOLED display, a fast 33W SuperVOOC Charge fast charging, a slim and lightweight design, and a fast Helio G99 CPU. All these top features make the smartphone a great choice for midrangers. The realme 10 is a great performer, faster than its predecessor realme 9, it has impressive specs and features under ₹15,000 budget and is recommended for those who are looking for a mid-range 4G smartphone at this price.

The Realme 10 price in India is set at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, while the 8GB RAM option costs Rs 16,999. For those unaware, it is a 4G smartphone, which means the Realme 10 is not compatible with the new 5G network. If 5G is what you are after, check out the Realme 9i 5G (review) or Infinix Hot 20 5G (review) smartphone. Both of them are currently selling in India at Rs 14,999. However, for a sub-Rs 14,000 price tag, the Realme 10 appears to be a solid option despite a few shortcomings. Had it offered the latest software and better camera hardware, the Realme 10 would have been the device to beat in the segment. However, the phone delivers in aspects like offering stable performance, a vivid display, long battery life, and a lightweight, attractive design. The Realme smartphone also packs the fan-favourite audio jack, NFC, and a dedicated slot for a microSD card.

The Realme 10 4G looks like a value-for-money deal as it brings all of the essential features that are expected in the first place. However, the same thing doesn’t apply to the Realme 10 5G because you will notice that the company downgraded the display section. Overall, the Realme 10 5G is an affordable version of the Realme 10 Pro+. On the other hand, the Realme 10 is a more attractive option than its 5G counterpart. The phone has a good AMOLED screen, a good battery life, good camera results, good audio output, a 3.5 mm jack, and other features. We recommend you go with this phone if you are not planning to change your phone for a few years. As for alternative options, you can check out Realme 9. Even though it was released last year, but still, it’s a great deal in the 4G phone in 2022 as well.

The rear panel of both phone houses two large circular cutouts for the cameras. The Realme 10 Pro+ features a triple-camera setup with a 108-megapixel main camera sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The Realme 10 Pro 5G offers a dual-camera setup with a 108-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel portrait camera. For selfies, the hole-punch cutout houses a 16-megapixel front camera on both the phones. We noticed that the front camera quality differed quite a bit between the two models when we tried it out, side by side. Colours from the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G looked way more natural in comparison to the contrast-heavy look from the Realme 10 Pro 5G. Of course, this is just our initial impression based on the available ambient lighting at the time, so we should have a more definitive answer when we test both these phones at length. Lastly, the Realme 10 Pro series runs on the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 software, out of the box. The new custom skin gets a new design, including a revamped control centre, textured icons with vibrant colours, and an improved Always-on Display (AoD). The new update also comes with Realme's Dynamic Computing Engine, which claims to offer the perfect balance between high performance and low power consumption. We will be testing the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G and the Realme 10 Pro 5G thoroughly to see if the devices do justice to their respective price tags and the claims made by the company. Stay tuned for the full review coming soon on Gadgets 360.

So, is the realme 10 a 10? Not quite. But it’s definitely another bang-for-your-buck phone from the brand. Design-wise, this phone screams premium with its slim form factor, rounded corners, and gorgeous rear finish. As for performance, it’s a reliable daily driver thanks to a dependable processor, huge RAM and storage space, smooth UI, and a long-lasting battery. It’s also a good device for content creation and consumption thanks to its great display and decent camera features. And all these at an under-P15,000 price? Definitely a steal!

As for the downsides – no stereo sound, no wide-angle lens, and simple video shooting without 4K support. I won’t call the lack of 5G a minus, since this function is not critical for everyone, LTE speeds are now more than sufficient. In my opinion, Realme made a good “numbered” smartphone for the new generation. Another one. The fact is that it’s not better than Realme 9, it’s just different (and it’s difficult to become much better when it comes out just six months later), but it’s newer and when the “ninth” gradually leaves the market, it will become the next hit in the middle price range. One of many. Strong competitors include Redmi Note 11 Pro, Realme 9 Pro, POCO M4 Pro, Motorola Edge 20, Realme GT Master Edition, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE.

The realme 10 8GB + 128GB is priced at PHP 12,999, while the 8GB + 256GB is at PHP 14,999. It is priced lower than the realme 9 6GB + 128GB at PHP 14,999 at launch. At this point, we can see how realme is positioning the realme 10. It may have to tone down its camera specs but it now has a better chipset and bigger RAM and storage. If you have a realme 9, there’s no reason to upgrade for now. From this perspective, the realme 10 seems like a refresh than a real upgrade. But for those who are buying a nice mid-ranger for under PHP 15K from the brand, the realme 10 is a good option.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
