I’ll put it this way: this year’s ASUS TUF Dash F15 has a good starting point. The chassis is great, I/O is solid, thermals are manageable, touchpad and keyboard are both definitely serviceable. That said, this model comes with multiple configurations in different price ranges – I highly suggest you compare them all against each other to determine what are the things you’re fine to sacrifice or otherwise. For this very unit that’s sent to us though, “glass half-full” pretty much sums it up. At RM4,799 – while some things are good, I feel like it definitely is capable of doing better.

The Asus TUF Dash F15 2022 is a good gaming laptop for entry-level gamers who enjoy playing latest titles, not regularly but frequently after everyday work or weekends. If you're planning to use it for video editing, I'd suggest you look for notebooks with better displays. In terms of performance and thermals, it easily meets most requirements, though I wish the base variant supported up to 16GB of RAM. In terms of design, the TUF Dash F15 looks good, and it also meets military-grade MIL-STD standards, which is a great addition. The port selection is decent, and the keyboard gets the job done. In the end, it all comes down to the price, and for a laptop with the latest-gen Intel CPU, it's priced right. But do note, that AMD's latest-gen chips are yet to feature in some mainstream gaming laptops, which could be more affordable, and we are yet to see their potential.

The TUF Dash F15 carries forward the lineup’s legacy in delivering a quality gaming experience at an affordable price point. It also helps that the laptop features a lightweight and minimalistic design which blends well in an office setting too. At the same time, the TUF Dash F15 offers commendable specs that will easily satisfy a user’s gaming needs, provided they keep their expectations in check. The only points of contention for the device revolve around the rather underwhelming battery life, average speakers, and lack of any biometric authentication. Be that as it may, the TUF Dash F15 checks most of the right boxes and consequently, deserves a second look.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

75%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
