ZTE registers what might be its 2021 under-display camera phone, the Axon 30, with 3C
ZTE is rumored to launch a second-gen under-display camera smartphone later in 2021. Now, a new leak indicates that the OEM has certified a new device with the Chinese regulator 3C with reasonably high-end 55 watt (W) charging tech. This has led to speculation that the "Axon 30" will launch with this spec as well as its cutting-edge selfie camera.
Many leaks pointing to the imminent launch of the ZTE Axon 30 series may have raised hopes that it would build on the under-display camera (UDC) ground broken by their predecessor, the 20 5G. However, as it turned out, the 30 Pro and Ultra debuted with conventional punch-holes for their 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED displays instead.
Nevertheless, the ZTE UDC hype-train is now back on the rails with rumors of a vanilla 30 that has been delayed due to the need to prepare the brand's second-gen edge-to-edge screen. It is said to integrate Visionox' new InV See Pro technology for improved biometrics and general selfie functions.
Now, a new 3C listing for a "ZTE A2322" might imply that such a device is close to launch. The tipster WHYLAB (who posted this leak on Weibo) believes it is the Axon 30, mainly due to the presence of the same up-to-11V/5A (or 55W) charging found in the 30 Pro in the new documentation. Therefore, this phone might yet emerge to rival others such as Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold3 in terms of this rare feature in 2021 after all.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
