Xiaomi has announced an early-bird event to launch the Mi Mix 3 in the UK
With its unique manual slider, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 may have been one of the most intriguing phones of 2018. Unfortunately, it has only been available for sale in Asian countries for most of its life cycle so far. Then again, it has also become available in Italy and Spain recently. Now, the OEM has announced that it is ready to sell this innovative phone in a new market: the United Kingdom.
Xiaomi has let it be known that consumers in this country will have the chance to buy their own Mi Mix 3 through Amazon, Ebuyer or the company's own website. It is likely that the device will cost something like £490 (or US$630) in this market, so as to be in line with the Mi Mix 3's €549 price-tag in the EU. However, a Tweet on Xiaomi's official timeline has given details of a special 'early-bird' pricing event to promote the phone's UK sales.
This event will put the Mi Mix's price at £449 ($576) for 24 hours through its official sales channels, starting at 12:00 GMT on the device's UK release date, January 16. However, there is as yet little information as to which SKUs of this device will be sold at this price. The Mi Mix 3 is known to feature up to 10GB of RAM at its highest end. However, it is also more widely available as a 6GB RAM device with the Snapdragon 845 processor, which is the most likely option for its new market.
