Xiaomi POCO M6 Plus 5G specifications and Indian pricing revealed ahead of launch
New details about the upcoming Xiaomi POCO M6 Plus 5G have surfaced online. While POCO has yet to officially confirm the device's launch date, leaked specifications and pricing information have been shared by industry sources. The device was previously revealed as a rebranded Redmi Note 13R slated for an India-only release, and the latest leak aligns with the report since both devices share the same specs.
The POCO M6 Plus 5G will reportedly feature a 6.79-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Device renders depict rounded edges and a punch-hole display in the front. The smartphone is expected to be available in purple, black, and silver color options. Minus silver, these are the same colors for the POCO M6 Pro (which bagged the "Affordable display king" title in our review) - available in blue as well.
The Xiaomi POCO M6 Plus is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. Users have the option to choose between 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM; however, storage options are limited to a singular 128GB variant. For pictures, the smartphone will pack a 108MP primary sensor, paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. The front camera is said to be a 13MP unit. The device is rumored to house a 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and offer IP53 water and dust resistance. Additional features mentioned include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM capability, USB Type-C port, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Based on the leak, the POCO M6 Plus 5G is expected to launch in India with a starting price of 13,999 INR (~$168) for the base model, featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is rumored to be priced at 14,999 INR (~$180). These prices are in the ballpark of the Xiaomi POCO M6 Pro (currently $188 on Amazon).
