Xiaomi just released the Windows version of Mi Pad 2 tablet launched initially with Android operating system back in November. It’s worth reminding that the Chinese manufacturer had indeed promised that the device would be also able to run Microsoft’s OS in near future.
Apart from the operating system change, all hardware specifications remain the same as in the Android version. The tablet is powered by Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and sports a 7.9-inch, 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution display as well as 64 GB of internal storage space (the Android version also came in a 16 GB variant).
The Mi Pad 2 comes with an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front one. It also features a massive 6,190 mAh battery which, according to the manufacturer, allows for up to 100 hours of music playback or up to 648 hours of standby time. Another interesting feature is a USB Type-C port.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 with Windows will be available in China at CNY 1299 (approx. $200) starting tomorrow (January 26th).
